LONDON, UK, 21ST JUNE 2022 - 3CX, developer of the award-winning business communications solution, announced Nick Galea will reassume the position of CEO effective immediately. Stefan Walther has since resigned as CEO, a position he held for the past 3 years, to pursue new opportunities.
Nick Galea’s vision and leadership are critical to ensuring 3CX retains a competitive lead in business communications for the long-term. There is no better person at this time to run 3CX, than the man who created and built the company over the last 17 years.
Stefan Walther took over the reins as CEO in 2019 after several years spent as COO and Head of Support. During this time he was characterized as a co-leader of the company together with Nick Galea. In his capacity as CTO, Galea remained heavily involved in the company’s operations, strategy and vision, making for a seamless transition back as CEO.
“3CX has tremendous opportunities ahead of it,” Nick Galea announced. “I am enthusiastic about our new cloud-native offering, 3CX StartUP. We’ve set ourselves an ambitious target of one million installs. My focus will be on laying out a plan to reach this goal, and for 3CX to take the pole position as a global communications provider,” added Galea.
In addition to steering the company through the Covid pandemic, Walther used his tech knowledge to lay the foundations of a robust cloud platform. He also worked extensively on the Microsoft Teams integration and was key in improving and building on customer and partner portals.
