How long does it take to hear back from NHS jobs? ›

Once an advert for NHS Job Vacancies is made public, applicants usually have between 1 and 2 weeks to submit their application. NHS managers then review the online applications, and begin the process of shortlisting candidates. This process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

Band 8B - 1st pay point

The 5.5% NHS pay rise increases this pay point from £58,972 to £62,215 a year. This is an increase of £3,243 compared to 2023/24 pay (£0,270 a month). From 1st April 2024 the NHS net take home pay will be £3,554.07 each month (£139.43 more net pay each month after the NHS 5.5% pay rise).
