NHS England
NHS England has a separate website
NHS England leads the National Health Service (NHS) in England. We promote high quality health and care for all through the NHS Long Term Plan.
We support NHS organisations to work in partnership to deliver better outcomes for our patients and communities and provide value for taxpayers.
We are working to make the NHS an employer of excellence and to enable NHS patients to benefit from world-leading research, innovation, and technology.
To deliver the NHS Long Term Plan, NHS England will balance national direction with local autonomy to secure the best outcomes for patients.
Through our seven regional teams, we support local integrated care systems (ICS) to improve the health of the population, improve the quality of care, tackle inequalities and deliver care more efficiently.
Prior to 1 April 2013, NHS England was known as the NHS Commissioning Board.
NHS England is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department of Health and Social Care.
