Important information
- Maximum Account Balance: Your M-PESA account can hold a maximum balance of Kshs.500,000.
- Maximum Daily Transaction Value: The maximum value for daily transactions is set at Kshs.500,000.
- Maximum Amount per Transaction: Each transaction is capped at a maximum of Kshs.250,000.
- Minimum Withdrawal Amount: The minimum amount you can withdraw at an M-PESA Agent is Kshs.50.
- M-PESA Person to Person Self-Reversal: To initiate a self-reversal for a person-to-person transaction, send the transaction confirmation to 456.
- Active Safaricom Line and M-PESA Account: Ensure that your Safaricom line and M-PESA account are active to transact.
- Depositing Funds: You can only deposit funds into an M-PESA account registered under your own identification document (ID). Depositing directly into third-party accounts is not allowed.
- Bonga Points Earning: You will earn Bonga Points based on the M-PESA fee charged during your transactions.
- Identification Document Requirement: When transacting at any M-PESA agent outlet, you need to produce your original identification document with which the M-PESA account was registered. Acceptable documents include the National ID or Kenyan Passport.
