You cannot get pre-approved for the Meijer Credit Card. The issuer does not offer this tool through its website and it doesn't send offers in the mail, either. So, anyone interested in applying for the Meijer Credit Card will have to do so without the benefit of checking for pre-approval beforehand. The same applies for the Meijer Store Card.
You can, however, use WalletHub's CardAdvisor tool instead and learn how easy it is to find the right credit card for...

You can get approved for the Meijer Credit Card immediately after applying if your application meets the issuer's criteria. If you don't qualify for the Meijer Credit Card, then you'll be considered for the Meijer Store Card, instead.
However, if you don't get a decision immediately after applying, it doesn't mean you won't have a shot after your application is reviewed in more detail. In that case, please allow 7-10 business days for your application to be processed.

Does the Meijer Credit Card do a hard pull?

@john_miller
Yes, the Meijer Credit Card does a hard pull on your credit report when you apply for the card. A hard pull usually results in a slight decrease in an applicant's credit score, but the effect only lasts for a short period of time. The hard inquiry allows the issuer to determine your credit risk and ultimately decide whether you'll be approved for an account.
Applying for the Meijer Store Card will also result in a hard inquiry on...

It should take 10-14 business days to get the Meijer Credit Card after you get approved. If you got approved for the Meijer Store Card instead, the delivery time is the same.
If your card doesn't arrive after 14 business days, then call the card's customer service at (877) 816-9401. They'll be able to send you a replacement card if the original got lost on the way.
What credit bureau does the Meijer Credit Card use for approval?

The Meijer Credit Card uses either Experian, Equifax or TransUnion for approval. The selection is done randomly, so there is no way to know beforehand. The Meijer Store Card also uses one of the three bureaus, at random, for approval.
After you get approved, the Meijer Credit Card will report your activity to all three bureaus every month.

Didn’t like the fees or how the card was monitored with my purchases. Will not be using it again. Not enough perks or incentives for me at this time.

This was my ex husbands meijer card. He continued to use it after divorce and it gradually kept increasing my credit score. That’s cool no complaints. Update on credit card usage weekly. Thank you meijer

Their website is so dysfunctional, that I've had my card for 2 months now, have my first bill coming due and I still do not have access to my account. When attempting my very first sign in to my account, I either get a message prompting me to close out other open tabs which don't exist, or I get a message telling me that it is time to call their customer service line.. I tried that and after about about 10 minutes of utter confusion I just hung up the phone. I still don't even know what my account page looks like or how to pay my bill because to date I have not been able to sign up/in. I don't even know if I successfully created an account.
I have at least 6 other store cards. They are not all perfect but I'm able to monitor them regularly without too much fuss. I shop at Meijer weekly, But I reeeeally regret opening this account. I've had anxiety for weeks now about defaulting on my 1st payment. I have made at least a dozen attempts to create and open online account. I'm dont trying to figure it out. I've never made a late payment in almost 10 years and this card is going to screw me.

I have had this card for years and using it is effortless. Information is always up to date. There are also some little perks that save a few dollars at checkout (usually 4-10 dollars off the bill) which is no big deal, but still nice.

DO NOT TRY AND PAY YOUR BALANCE IN FULL OR DO A BALANCE TRANSFER. Better yet don't get this card at all! Meijer will hold your check or payment for a whole billing cycle, which means you will have to pay interest for that billing cycle, even though you paid it in full! I did a balance transfer from meijer to my bank account and it is showing as a debt in BOTH accounts. Because, Meijer has the check and has informed me that it will not be applied to my account for a whole billing cycle!!! Apparently, Meijer cashed the check or it wouldn't be showing as a debt in my bank account. In the meantime I will also be double billed for the same debt. Meijer will charge me my minimum payment on something that has been paid in full, then I will be charged by my bank for the amount I transferred. I spoke with someone in billing at the 800 number and after explaining my situation to her, she couldnt resolve the problem. So i asked to speak with someone that knew more about the situation. She the transferred my call to Shayla, whom spoke to me very briefly and then hung up on me!

They're hopeless. I haven't been able to make a payment on my account since December, because their website has been down or crazy, and their chat takes forever to do a simple task, like verifying a routing number. I'm sorry I ever signed up.

I love Meijer! They are a great hometown kind of grocery store and they give back to their customers more then most do. They maybe a little pricey but they give you money back which helps.

Again I hate to be so brutally honest but I lost the Meijer card and that's why I had to close it. That was the only reason I enjoy having the Meijer card.

Had a Meijer credit card through GE for years. Always paid in full & on time. Realized a $20 bill hadn't been paid & immediately paid it one day late. They charged a late fee of $35 & neither Meijer nor GE would waive this minor slip up this one time. We cut up the card & switched to a different card years ago & they've lost a lot in the years since.
