Meghan Markle's beauty look is always on point - and she has a few timeless go-to makeup products that she has consistently relied on over the years.

One that she has said she uses to 'amp up' her eyes is MAC's Eye Kohl eyeliner in the shade Teddy,and I can confirm its a fantastic brown eyeliner to have handy in your beauty bag.

The Teddy shade is a gorgeous warm brown tone with subtle (and importantly, not glittery) hints of gold and bronze, which seems to give it more dimension and depth than other brown eyeliners I've tried. It's a soft kohl pencil, and ophthalmologist tested, so it doesn't pull or feel abrasive on my sensitive eyelids.

While Meghan uses it for her nighttime looks, I also wear it just on my upper lash line to add polish to my makeup for daytime. I like to team it with the long-wearing and so easy-to-apply Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow in Burnished Bronze, which is the perfect complementary tone.The Laura Mercier stick shadows, which are a fave of Sarah Jessica Parker, is also buildable, so you can wear it for a more subtle daytime look, or go fully dramatic and pigmented for evening.

I recommend using another Meghan go-to, Maybelline's Lash Sensational 'Luscious' Mascara, to finish off the no-fuss look.

The Maybelline 'Luscious' formula does a great job lengthening lashes and actually feels like it's conditioning them. One caveat - you do have to watch for smudging!

Meghan Markle's go-to eyeliner

The duch*ess of Sussex once told Allure that she swears by MAC's ‘Teddy’ liner, which is key to her makeup routine: the ‘five-minute face’.

“If I'm going to amp [my makeup] up for the night, then I use MAC ‘Teddy’ eyeliner, which is a really beautiful brown that has some gold in it,” she said.

“A makeup artist I work with often, Kayleen McAdams, turned me on to it. It's what she uses on Sofia Vergara, and who wouldn't want those gorgeous brown almond eyes?"

And combined with Meghan’s other favourites - like NARS org*sm blush and Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk lipstick - we’d say that’s a classic beauty look we can't resist.
