How long does it take to get Mawista insurance? ›

The valid insurance documents are sent conveniently by email within 24 hours after checking the application. MAWISTA Student offers international students up to five years of reliable insurance cover.

Both international students in Germany and German students abroad can get the right health insurance for their study abroad with us. All our tariffs meet legal requirements and are recognised by universities. International students in Germany can choose between two health insurance plans.

Mawista Visum: The policy is created as soon as you receive your Blocking Confirmation, so, you don't need to activate it separately. Upon entering Germany, you will be insured by Mawista Visum during the time period and for the number of days mentioned on the policy.

A MAWISTA Expatcare contract can be cancelled at the end of any month without stating any reasons for the cancellation. The notice of termination must be submitted to MAWISTA in writing. The notice of termination will be checked upon receipt and a response will be sent in writing.

MAWISTA offers SEPA direct debit, credit card or bank transfer as payment options. The premium for MAWISTA insurance is due for the first time at the start of the insurance contract and is payable monthly in advance. For contract terms of more than one month, subsequent premiums are due on the 1st of each new month.
