The next time you crave a mango dragon fruit lemonade refresher, save yourself a trip to the coffee shop, and make this recipe at home! Plus, it’s so much cheaper and made with only 5 ingredients. The dragon fruit powder gives this drink a vibrant pink color, while the lemonade adds extra tropical fruity flavors!
I always feel like having a refreshing drink in the summer, so I end up making this mango dragonfruit lemonade almost every week! It’s sweeter than the regular mango dragonfruit refresher or dragon drink with a slight tart flavor! If you ask me, there’s no better way to cool off on a hot summer day!

Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Recipe Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make this mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe:
- Dragon Fruit Powder – Dragonfruit (pitaya) is the key ingredient that gives this drink a beautiful pink color while adding a mild sweet tropical flavor. I recommend using freeze-dried red dragon fruit powder for the best result. You can also use fresh dragon fruit or frozen dragon fruit pitaya packs at health food stores or Whole Foods.
- Mango Juice – Use store-bought or homemade mango juice. If you make your own mango juice, make sure to remove the pulp before adding to the drink.
- White Grape Juice – You can substitute other fruity juice such as apple juice. Just make sure to avoid the ones with dark colors.
- Lemonade – I used the store-bought lemonade to save time, but you can make your own lemonade if you prefer.
- Optional Ice and Diced Dragonfruit – For serving.
Note: The mango dragonfruit lemonade from Starbucks contains caffeine, but this homemade version is caffeine-free. You can add green tea or green coffee extract if you’d prefer to have a caffeine boost.

How to Make Mango Dragon Fruit Lemonade
This mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe is super easy to make, and here’s how it goes:
- First, make the dragonfruit base. Whisk together dragonfruit powder and grape juice until dissolved. (Make sure to let the powder dissolve completely. It may take a few minutes.)
- Next, assemble the drink. Fill a glass halfway with ice and diced dragon fruit. Pour in the dragonfruit base, mango juice and lemonade.
- Finally, taste and adjust. You can customize your drink and find a balance of flavors and colors you love. The color of your drink depends on the ratio between ingredients. If you add more mango juice, you’ll get a less vivid pink color.
I like to serve it in a clear tall glass to showcase the bright pinkish magenta color.
Variations
- Dragon Drink: Replace lemonade with coconut milk for a creamy and light pink dragon drink.
- Mango Dragonfruit Refresher: Replace lemonade with water and you’ll get a regular mango dragonfruit refresher.
