Romance[]

Amity Blight[]

Luz never intentionally wants to rival Amity, but their clashing personalities, as well as the constant rising situations, pushes her to challenge her behavior. Luz dislikes Amity's snobbish view of witches and wants to prove her wrong by showing that anyone is capable of mastering magical feats. However, Luz does not want to antagonize her and instead just wants her to accept her for who she is. In "Covention", it is implied that the two of them are beginning to reach an understanding of sorts. In "Lost in Language", Luz has a better grasp of Amity's issues and now openly wants to befriend her, which seems close once she decides to lend her copy of The Good Witch Azura to her. In "Adventures in the Elements", Luz and Amity are on much better terms, albeit still awkward with one another and by "Enchanting Grom Fright", the two are amicable to one another. Luz is apparently oblivious of the fact that Amity has a crush on her now as seen in "Wing It Like Witches". However by "Escaping Expulsion", Luz has also started to appear slightly bashful when she is around Amity.

By "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", she finally becomes aware of Amity's feelings for her when she unexpectedly kisses her on the cheek, causing her to fall to her knees. Prior, Luz admits that she does "stupid" things when she is around her. They officially begin dating in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", with both happy. While suffering from the delirious effects of the Common Mold in "Eclipse Lake", Luz manages to be lucid when thinking of Amity, sending her messages to convey her affection. In fact she becomes fully aware after learning of Fools Blood from the echo mouse and how it could endanger Amity; she tried to contact her to keep Amity safe. Afterwards, she happily embraced Amity, calling her an "awesome girlfriend", and confirming Amity meant more to her than the risk of finding the Titan's blood.

In "Reaching Out", Luz supported Amity's desire to participate in the Bonesborough Brawl and even spun her by the hips in admiration of her attractive outfit generated by Emira and Edric's concealment stones and would later participate in the tournament to thin out Amity's competition. However, Luz ended up exposing Amity's delinquency to her father, resulting in her girlfriend running away. When Luz caught up to Amity, she confessed that it was the day of her own father's passing and that she wanted to do everything possible to distract herself. After helping save a mutated Warden Wrath, the couple send out a flower on an abomination balloon to honor Luz and Camila's annual tradition.

In "Clouds on the Horizon", Luz helps Amity out of Blight Manor and promised to take her out on a real date, which was followed by their first kiss. Later on, when Odalia captured Luz and her friends and learned that she was dating Amity, she strongly disapproved of their relationship simply because of Luz's recent wanted status and wanted to replace her, but Alador remained supportive.

Family[]

Camila Noceda[]

Luz loves her mother and she in turn loves her daughter unconditionally. However, this does not mean that their relationship is perfect. It is quite apparent that Luz feels pressured by Camila to be more uniform with society; giving her a pamphlet for Reality Check Summer Camp to "think inside the box". All she wants is for her mother to understand her and her hobbies. In "Enchanting Grom Fright", Luz openly admits that she is not ready for her mother to know of her magic witch training, with her finding out and immediately disapproving being her biggest fear. Luz calmly assures her mother that she is fine however, knowing that she will tell her one day.

Friends[]

Eda Clawthorne[]

Luz admires Eda. Upon first meeting, she was immediately awestruck by her appearance and personality, believing that she was the greatest person ever. Since being taken under her wing, Luz has voiced nothing but pleasure and appreciation for her, borderlining on infatuation. In "The Intruder", she excitedly states that she admires Eda going as far as to describe her as being "magical, sassy, [and] surprisingly foxy for her age". As the series progresses, Luz begins to see some of Eda's flaws, but unlike others, she does not hold them against her and instead wants to help her resolve some of them. To her, Eda is not just a teacher, but almost a surrogate mother of sorts. Luz has shown to not agree with some of Eda's wisdom and will sometimes rebel against her, but by the end of the episode, learns that she is just trying to protect her from making mistakes that she, presumably, has made in the past. In "Hooty's Moving Hassle", Luz is shown to be afraid of Eda's judgment and tries to stick to her rules so as not to be horribly punished. In "Enchanting Grom Fright", Luz claims that one of her biggest fears is to continuously be babied and looked down upon by Eda and wants to show that she can be independent. In "Young Blood, Old Souls", Luz tells Eda that she loves her, in a platonic way; showing that she respects her a great deal. In "Separate Tides", Luz believes that she has some kind of responsibility to uphold with Eda and willingly went on dangerous outings to earn some income for her. She eventually realizes that she mutually feels responsible and that they need to look out for each other. Since then. Luz has been slightly more compliant with some of the things that Eda does and says, though she is not afraid to point out if they are wrong or have some flaw to them.

King[]

Upon first sight, Luz immediately fell in love with King; treating him as a pet and adoring him for his initially "cute" appearance. Despite King being much older than Luz, Luz tends to treat him like a pet or a baby, which he does not seem to mind much. While she does see him as cute, she knows that he does have a cool and intelligent side to him as well. She is very protective of him and his feelings and went out of her way to call out Amity Blight when she insulted him as seen in "Covention". King also acts as a confidant of sorts to Luz as she will voice her concerns to him whenever she is too nervous to tell Eda something. Luz will occasionally ask for King's advice, regardless of how useful it actually is. In "Really Small Problems", she admits that she misses him when she goes to Hexside and since then, will affectionately kiss him on the head before heading out. In "Echoes of the Past", Luz is shown to have developed a maternal/sisterly bond with King, but was reluctant to believe that he truly was the King of Demons. When Eda told him the truth about his past, Luz was very comforting towards him and became determined to help him figure out who his father is and where he went.

Willow and Gus[]

Luz immediately became sympathetic to Willow upon her first encounter. Unlike Amity, Luz is very supportive of her endeavors as a witch in training and finds her gifts fantastic. Due to Luz being an extrovert, she is able to bring Willow out of her shell and have her accept her latent plant magic abilities. Luz can sometimes be forceful with Willow, albeit unintentionally, but is understanding whenever she points this out. Luz is very protective of Willow and will go out of her way to defend her honor if she is somehow harmed physically or emotionally. In "Understanding Willow", Luz wanted to get to the bottom of her troubles with Amity and was overwhelmed to see the two of them getting back together as, not friends, but mutual acquaintances.

Luz finds Gus amusing, mostly because he thinks that she is unique for being a human. She treats him like a little brother and, much like with Willow, looks out for his well-being. In "Something Ventured, Someone Framed", Luz begins to admire Gus' rather advanced illusion magic and compliments him on his abilities. At the same time, she is perplexed by his misunderstanding of certain human customs, most likely because the things that confuse him are rather mundane. When Gus accidentally injured Willow in "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", Luz was there to make sure that was feeling alright. In that same episode, it is somewhat implied that Luz has a tendency to take advantage of him, albeit unintentionally.

Collectively, Luz appreciates her friendship with Willow and Gus, mostly because they are the first true friends she has ever had.

Lilith Clawthorne[]

Upon first meeting, Luz was interested in Lilith due to her familial relationship with Eda and wanted to know more about her. Despite her working for the Emperor's Coven, Luz believed that she was inherently good (her intentions were though), but slowly began to see that she was far more complex than she realized. By "Agony of a Witch", Luz began to see her as a threat after learning she cursed Eda and feared her after she kidnapped her. In the following episode, "Young Blood, Old Souls", Luz became very violent and antagonistic towards her, but settled after hearing her story and by the end of the episode she viewed her as an ally. Luz has since promised to teach her and Eda how to use magic using glyphs after they lose their magic. Lilith is noticeably more subservient towards her, which she finds unsettling. In "Escaping Expulsion", Luz was impressed with Lilith as she did use combination of glyphs. In "Echoes of the Past", Lilith was surprised that Luz did use the experimenting of glyph of invisibility. By "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", Luz and Lilith have developed a somewhat aunt and niece relationship to the point where Lilith fears Eda's wrath if Luz were to come to harm. Luz even calls her "Cool Aunt Lilith".
