Locate a device in Find Devices on iCloud.com (2024)

1. In FindDevices on iCloud.com, select the device in the All Devices list on the left.

   • If the device can be located: it appears on the map so you can see where it is.

   • If the device cannot be located: You see Offline below the device’s name. The last known location is displayed for up to 24 hours. Select “Notify me when found” to get an email when it is online again.

     If you turned on the FindMy network, you can use the FindMy app on any device that is signed in with the same AppleID to see your device’s location, even if it is offline. The last known location is stored for up to seven days. See the AppleSupport article Find your lost Apple device or AirTag with FindMy.

     Note: If you turned on Stolen Device Protection on your iPhone and changed your password, the locations of your devices may not be visible for a period of time.

2. To locate another device, click All Devices to return to the list, then select a new device.

If you are no longer using a device, remove it from your account so it does not appear in FindDevices.

If you are part of a FamilySharing group, you can use FindDevices on iCloud.com to help locate any family member’s device. Their devices appear below yours in the All Devices list.

Each family member must set up their devices to share their locations with other family members. See the AppleSupport article Share your location with your family. Once they have set up location sharing, you can locate their devices using the instructions above.

You cannot add a friend’s device to FindDevices. Friends who lose a device can go to icloud.com/find and sign in with their AppleID.

Do any of the following:

• Move the map: Drag it.

• Zoom in: Click in the bottom right-hand corner, or pinch open on a trackpad.

• Zoom out: Click in the bottom right-hand corner, or pinch closed on a trackpad.

• Change the map view: The button at the top right of the map indicates if the current map is a standard view , a hybrid view , or a satellite view . To choose a different map, click the button, then click the view you want.

• See more of the map: To compress the All Devices list, click . To open it again, click .
