He said that RWAs involve tokenizing traditional assets such as real estate, loans, and bonds on the blockchain. This tokenization trend is gaining traction because it offers a new fundraising avenue for traditional markets and provides regular investors with low-barrier entry opportunities. Projects in this sector are expected to skyrocket over the next few years as most instruments and markets become tokenized. Here are three important projects to watch:
Ondo Finance
A leading RWA project offering tokenized financial products, bridging DeFi and traditional finance. Backed by Blackrock and recently integrated with BlackRock’s BID fund on Ethereum. Current TVL (Total Value Locked) is $574 million, with potential to reach $1 billion. The ONDO token price is just over $1, with a market cap of $1.47 billion.
Clearpool Finance
Operates a decentralized credit marketplace offering permissionless crypto lending and borrowing services for institutional DeFi standards. Launched its credit vault on Avalanche, providing higher yields for lenders and expanding its network ecosystem. Current market cap is $93 million, with the CPOOL token at $0.14. Clearpool is actively growing, with partnerships including SYX Tech for real-time credit info.
Polytrade Finance
A marketplace connecting sellers, buyers, insurers, and investors to facilitate smoother global trade finance for SMEs. Collaborations with top names like MasterCard and Lionel Messi, backed by Matrix, Polygon Studios, Alpha Wave, and CoinSwitch. Smallest market cap among the featured projects at $25.5 million, with the TRADE token priced just below $.065, showing growth potential.
