There are two possible endings in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, but they have many variations each. The Lord Ending can be thought of as the "bad ending", and the Princess Ending the "true ending".
The requirements for each ending are very simple:
- If Catiua is deceased (whether through the Barnicia event, or in battle), then the Lord Ending will be obtained.
- If the game is finished with Catiua alive, the player will receive the Princess Ending.

1. The Lord Ending[]
With the war officially over, Denam is suddenly left with the responsibility of becoming the new ruler of Valeria. On top of that, he must reconcile his grief and guilt over Catiua's death.
Variations:[]
Cistina and Cerya Scene[]
- If both Cistina and Cerya are in Denam's Order, a scene will take place where they report to Mreuva about troubling revolutionary violence in the Kingdom. If either or both are missing, this scene will be skipped.
Post-credits scene[]
One of these two scenes will play post-credits:
King Tristan
- If player Chaos Frame for all three Valerian clans is high, a scene will show King Tristan and Gilbald from Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen discussing news of an imminent Lodis invasion of Valeria.
Assassination
- If there is still some discord in Chaos Frame with any of the Valerian clans, a scene will show Denam being shot by a Walister insurgent during his coronation address.
2. The Princess Ending[]
In this ending, Catiua ascends to the throne. Denam reports to his father's grave that he was able to fulfill his request, and intends to travel abroad.
Variations:[]
Vyce scene[]
- There will be a short scene with Vyce, if the player is on the Law Route and has him recruited.
Olivya and Mreuva[]
- If Olivya is still alive and in Denam's Order, there will be a scene with her and Mreuva.
The Xenobians Leave[]
- If Canopus, Mirdyn, and/or Gildas are dead, then they will be absent from this scene, and the dialogue will change slightly. If all three are gone, the scene is skipped entirely.
Character Ending Scenes[]
One of many character-specific scenes will play. If none of these characters are recruited, then this part of the ending is skipped.
Scenes of the following are present in all versions of the game:
These only appear in the PSP version:
