Completing the Pokédex is more important in Pokémon Legends: Arceus than ever before in the series, but some Pokémon in the Hisui region can be particularly hard to find. Between elusive Baby Pokémon and complicated evolutions, filling the Hisui Pokédex is no easy feat, and trainers will have to search far and wide to track down every Pokémon in the game. However, once players finish their mission to seek all Pokémon, they’ll finally be able to encounter Arceus and add the final entry to their Pokédex.
Not only will players have to catch every Pokémon in Hisui to fill their Pokédex in Legends: Arceus, but they’ll have to raise each Pokémon’s Research Level to 10 to complete it as well. By catching, battling, and observing Pokémon in the wild, players can complete Research Tasks to raise the Research Level of each entry in the Pokédex. As players carry out their survey work, they’ll gather plenty of data to create Hisui’s first-ever Pokédex, helping Professor Laventon write the entries that will be passed down into the modern Pokémon era.

Once Pokémon Legends: Arceus players hunt down every hard-to-catch Pokémon and perfect their Pokédex, they’ll receive the Shiny Charm, which drastically increases their chances of encountering a Shiny Pokémon. However, before players can claim this special charm, they’ll have to catch, battle, and train every Pokémon in Hisui, which means they’ll also have to find them all first. These are the most elusive, difficult-to-find Pokémon inLegends: Arceus.
Cherubi Spawns In Few Trees In Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Cherubi is one of the most elusive Pokémon in Legends: Arceusand many players spend hours searching for this Grass-type Cherry Pokémon. Cherubi spawns in several locations throughout Hisui, including the Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, and Coronet Highlands. However, Cherubi not only has an incredibly low spawn rate, which makes it rare enough on its own, but it only appears on specific blue trees in each of its habitats, lowering the chance of encountering it even more - even after an update increased its spawn rate.
The most effective method for searching for Cherubi involves traveling back and forth between each area and Jubilife Village to reset the Pokémon that have spawned, and it can take several resets before players get lucky enough to encounter one. Additionally, Pokémon encountered in trees will automatically initiate a battle, so players will have to catch Cherubi without accidentally causing it to faint. However, this technique is still significantly easier than finding one by chance on an excursion, so players will have to be patient in their search for Cherubi.
Spiritomb Has The Longest Quest In Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Catching Spiritombin Pokémon Legends: Arceusrequires the most legworkand players will only encounter it after completing Request 22, “Eerie Apparitions in the Night.” Players will automatically obtain Request 22 from an NPC named Vessa shortly after calming the Frenzied Noble Kleavor and returning to Jubilife Village. Vessa will ask the player to collect all 107 Wisps scattered throughout every area of Hisui, which makes this one of the most time-consuming Requests in the entire game. Each major area has 20 Wisps, and the other 7 can be found in Jubilife Village.

However, while many of these Wisps can be easily seen while flying overhead with Hisuian Braviary, many are hidden in caves or other obscure locations. Additionally, spotting the Wisps during the day is extremely difficult since they’ll only become visible if players get close enough, and the only time they can be seen from a distance is at night. Once playerscollect all 107 Wisps in Legends: Arceus and return to Vessa, they’ll finally be able to encounter Spiritomb, completing the Request and adding the Forbidden Pokémon to their Pokédex.
Cleffa Only Comes Out At Night In Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Cleffa is one of Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ elusive Baby Pokémon, and not only does it spawn far less frequently than its evolved forms, but its spawn conditions make it all the more difficult to track down. Like the rest of its evolutionary line, Cleffa can only be found in the Fabled Spring area of the Coronet Highlands. However, Cleffa only appears in Hisui at night, which means players will only be able to catch it after dark, and it’ll disappear once the sun comes up if it spawned at all. Like the rest of the Baby Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, it’ll take patience, luck, and quite a few trips back and forth between Jubilife Village before Cleffa can be added to the Pokédex.
Weavile Is Hard To Evolve In Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Hisui Region
Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduced a new evolutionary form for Sneasel, but players will still have to obtain its original evolved form, Weavile, to complete the Hisui Pokédex. Hisuian Sneasel is relatively easy to obtain once players reach the Alabaster Icelands, and it will evolve into Sneasler when exposed to a Razor Claw during the day. However, players will only be able to find Johtonian Sneasel in Space-Time Distortions that appear in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and they’ll need another Razor Claw to evolve it into Weavile.
Razor Claws cost 1,400 Merit Points at the Trading Post, making them one of the most expensive Evolution Items in Pokémon Legends: Arceusand players will have to pick up quite a few Lost Satchels to be able to afford one, let alone two. Players may also be able to obtain a Razor Claw by catching or defeating wild Sneasel, but it has a very low chance of dropping, so farming Lost Satchels is the most efficient way to get this Evolution Item. Once players catch a Johtonian Sneasel and obtain a Razor Claw, they’ll have to wait until nightfall to evolve it into Weavile to complete this Pokédex entry.
Riolu Is A Rare Baby Pokémon In Legends: Arceus
Lucario’s pre-evolution, Riolu, is one of the rarest Baby Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceusand its incredibly low spawn rate can make it one of the most frustrating to find as well. Riolu has a chance to appear in several locations in the Alabaster Icelands, including the Icebound Falls and Snowfall Hot Springs. However, with the amount of other Pokémon that can appear in these areas, Riolu’s low spawn rate makes it extremely tough to find. Fortunately, Riolu does have a chance of appearing in Mass Outbreaks, which will give players a chance to add it to their Pokédex and complete its Research Tasks if they’re lucky enough to get this rare Mass Outbreak on their map in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
