Ledger now accepts Crypto.com Pay as an additional payment method on ledger.com. Not only does this enable paying with new crypto assets, it equally includes a cashback program provided by Crypto.com!
At Ledger, we have always strived to aid crypto adoption and its use for making purchases. While it was previously possible to pay for your Ledger hardware wallets with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and XRP through Bitpay, we’re opening the door to even more cryptocurrencies by integrating Crypto.com Pay. As of today, you can select this as a payment option on ledger.com for your purchase of Ledger devices.
An Alternative and Additional Cryptocurrencies
In the past, we’ve received requests to have alternative cryptocurrency payment options. Crypto.com Pay’s addition provides another platform to pay with crypto on ledger.com and includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Litecoin (LTC) and Crypto.com Coin (CRO) as options. This offers the choice of two new cryptocurrencies on our website.
Cashback
There’s more to this new payment method, however! Crypto.com Pay introduces a cashback program to payments made on ledger.com. This is in line with their motto: “Pay & Get Paid in Crypto”.
By paying with Crypto.com’s native coin CRO on our webshop, you can have a cashback of 5% on your purchase. The cashback would instantly be paid out in CRO on your Crypto.com wallet.
So how does it work?
To make use of Crypto.com as a payment option, you’ll need to follow these steps:
1. First, you’ll need to already have downloaded the Crypto.com App and successfully created a Crypto.com account.
2. You can then go to ledger.com, prepare your purchase and select Crypto.com Pay as a payment option in the check out.
3. The next step slightly varies whether you’re on a smartphone or computer:
Mobile: After having selected Crypto.com for your payment, you are redirected to the Crypto.com app to complete the purchase.
Desktop: A QR code will be presented for you to scan with the Crypto.com App. You can see below how this works:
- On your Crypto.com mobile app, select Pay and then click Scan.
- With this, you can scan the QR code presented on ledger.com
- After this, you can choose the cryptocurrency you’d like to pay with and finalize the purchase.
4. Once your purchase is completed, you will instantly receive your cashback on your crypto.com wallet in CRO. Please note that cashback is only available when you use CRO as the payment currency.
That’s all there is to it! Do note that if you cancel your order, the associated cashback would be cancelled too.
