Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is responsible for managing the fishery at Lake Fork. In addition, they administer the state licensing program for fishing and hunting licenses. TPWD game wardens monitor and enforce fishing rules and regulations.
Fishing Licenses
Fishing licenses are required for all anglers 17 years old or older. For reference, the most common fishing licenses are listed below. There are other licenses available that offer combinations of hunting, freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing. Refer to the TPWD licensing sitefor details.
Texas Resident Licenses:
• Annual - Freshwater (Sept. 1 to Aug. 31): $30 • 12-month from Date of Purchase - All Water: $47 • One Day - All Water: $11 • Senior - Freshwater: $12
Non-Resident Licenses:

Slot Fish
Lake Fork is a slot limit lake. What that means is that you cannot retain a largemouth bass between 16” and 24”. Catch it, measure it, weigh it and take a picture if you want and then release it.
