Stating My Thoughts On The

(GOW 3) Kratos vs Hulk (Classic/Standard)

Using 10 Edge System

Kratos:

-Intelligence

-Experience [Debatable]

(Hulk has battled all manner of things and opponents, but Hulk does not have the knowledge or intelligence to retain such experience and use it effectively in battle. Also too Kratos has been in far more battles than Hulk, and is far more tactical).

-Skill

-Speed

(Kratos Equipment consists of many things, and allows him to do many things. 1 item in particular are the "Boots of Hermes" which gives him super speed. Also he has the "Wings of Icarus" which gives him some level of flight).

-Invulnerability [Debatable]

(Due to Equipment. Kratos has the "Golden Fleece" which protects him from many attacks by placing a magical barrier around him. Doesnt work 100% of the time and not with every or any attack).

-Equipment/Weaponry

(As already mentioned, Kratos has alot of Weapons & Equipment that give him alot of advantages in this fight.

"Claws Of Hades"

Able to take the souls of opponents. Kratos has used them to take the soul from the Lord of The Underworld himself. Allows Kratos to summon souls, which he could use to help him overwhelm or distract Hulk. Also has healing capabilities [Presumably NOT on Hulk or Wolverine level].

"Nemesis Whips"

Gives Kratos Electrical Energy Projection

"Nemean Cestus"

Doubles or overall increases Kratos Striking Power. Kratos is AT LEAST a 100+ tonner, and strong enough to contend with Hulk. Characters on lower levels such as Colossuss, Spiderman, and more have been able to battle with Hulk.. Kratos would be as well regardless if he's physically inferior. The Cestus not only increase his Striking Power, but again gives him Energy Projection abilities.

"Blades of Exile"

Chain Blades that also grants Kratos the magical ability to call forth fallen warriors that sheilds him as magical arrows shower the area and upon all those surrounding him.

"Blade of Olympus"

Strongest Weapon in the Lore. Kratos uses it to kill the King of the Gods (Zeus) who is AT LEAST on Thor level).

*All of Kratos weapons and magical abilities are no doubt capable of harming/piercing/damaging Hulk. All of have shown the ability to damage/harm both Gods & Titans. Besides Hulk has been damaged/peirced by those with sufficient strength, or very sharp weapons before.*

-Versatility!

(Kratos is far more Versatile than Hulk, he brings alot to the fight with a deep & dangerous arsenal)

-Range

(Due to Equipment. Kratos has the "Bow of Apollo" which has peirced/damaged Gods. The bow never runs out of ammo, which means Kratos can play the "Fight from a distance" game for quite some time).

Hulk:

-Strength [Debatable]!!

(Kratos has resisted being crushed by the Titan Atlas who is not only th size of a mountain-at the least- but who has been shown carrying the world on his shoulders for years if not centuries. He's done the same thing against Kronos who was tasked with carrying a mountain on his back for years if not centuries. THAT'S AN INSANE LEVEL OF STRENGTH. Imagine an Ant resisting being crushed by you. Kratos is definitely strong, and definitely strong enough to contend with Hulk.. But for the most part his feats are inconsistent.

Hulk on the other hand is far more consistent, amd regularly shows an Incalculable level of Strength. He's bested and is seen on the level of the likes of Thor, Hercules, Sentry, and more).

-Durability

(Due to Healing Factor! Hulk has a healing factor that has allowed him to heal from being stabbed in the head, impaled, and has healed in seconds after having his skin stripped off. Kratos has never shown healing capabilities like this).

Thats an 8 to 2 out of 10; Kratos clearly out edges.

HOWEVER! Hulks level of Strength & Durability is something to reckon with in this fight. Almost any damage Kratos would inflict would be healed by Hulk, would only piss him off, and we all know the angrier Hulk gets the stronger he gets. Kratos would have to end the battle before Hulk increases his strength to World Breaker Level in which Kratos would have no chance at winning. The only way Kratos could win, or his best chance at winning In a DEATHMATCH is by decapatation. IMO Due to Equipment, Skill, and the Blade of Olympus, I feel Kratos would be able to end the fight before it goes too far. I say Kratos wins in a slight majority 5.5-6/10.

I feel this would also be the case with almost any match up regarding Kratos vs Hulk Character's and Other Incarnations such as She Hulk, Amadeus Cho Hulk, and Red She Hulk. Red Hulk, Maestro, and WWHulk would be too much.

Sorry for the story book.. But overall I also agree with @Tom on the point of all feats of VG characters are more so dependent on the player.

The battle is super objective or subjective at the end of the day.

Yea.. I go crazy for Kratos too lol.

Anyways I know it seems pointless, but this is just how I determine battles.

I feel VG characters vs Comic Characters is more fair than Anime vs Comic Characters. I see it equal to Comic Characters vs Cartoon Characters.

Thats just me..

I don't agree, at least with anime/manga and cartoon characters everyone has watched the same version, in a vg two people could say:

-(If the player is bad) Kratos couldn't even beat normal goons without some incredibly OP weapons and life saving potions and magic.

-(if the player is good) Kratos massacrated Godlike beings without breaking a sweat, he was never hit, he blocked or dodged all their blows and took them down in minutes.

And they'd both be right.

^Very true.. I wont dispute that. What difficulty theyre playing on matters too lol.

What I go by is, not gameplay, but Cuttscences and plot or things stated in plot.

Its Canon that Kratos killed a Hydra, Killed Ares, Killed Kronos, etc. How he did it exactly is canon, the player is simply playing out the story.

But that works only for GoW, which is full of cutscenes and QTEs, take a more RPG game, but still not an RPG, like Prey, you have many possible ways to move the plot forward.

You reach the same objectives at the end, but you could say

"Morgan killed those Typhons head on, he's a great fighter" or "Morgan sneaked past those Typhons, because he knew he couldn't fight them, then activated a machine that killed them". In one version Morgan is an OP marksman and fighter, in the other he's good at stealth or creative. Same result plot-wise, completely different feats-wise.

At Max, I find it odd that in your scenario, Kratos is at 100% but Hulk isn't... Is this favoritism we are seeing? Because...

Hulk has defeated Hercules and he has held the heavens on his shoulders for Atlas.

Hulk possesses enough superhuman speed to grab Quicksilver.

Hulk has managed to stand under a stars mass.

Hulk has defeated gods before.
