- Log on to the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
- Click License.
- Click Relationship Summary.
- Click License ID of the current Active License.
- After the page loads, click Product Keys.
- Look for a key called “Windows Srv 2016 DataCtr/Std KMS”
Run the command slmgr /dlv (for Windows) or ospp. vbs /dstatus (for Office). This command will show special licensing facts, which includes the KMS server in case your gadget is activated the usage of KMS.

To give permission to use a KMS key to users and roles in another account, you must use two different types of policies: The key policy for the KMS key must give the external account (or users and roles in the external account) permission to use the KMS key. The key policy is in the account that owns the KMS key.
