- UV & Stun Sticks: Have group of at least four people have stun sticks, UVs, Vitamins and (preferably) Night Vision or Trackers. When the Rake comes, have someone blind him and the rest start attacking him with stun sticks; if you run out of stamina use the vitamins. Be careful; if the Rake isn't stuck on a bear trap, he will be capable of attacking you as well.
- 4+ Traps: Have at least 4 traps on the ground. If you have someone with a stun stick, have them attack him while he's stuck. If the Rake has stepped on all the traps and hasn't died, throw an Eerie at him if you have one. If he starts Blood Hour, just run. It is also recommended to blind him with a UV light before he steps on one of the traps.
Secret/Useless ways of Killing the Rake.[]
- Head Lamps actually do damage. Being near the rake with the Head Lamp does stun him, it's just not noticeable and only hurts the rake 1/10000 every second.
- The Power Station Electric Pool. If you get The Rake to step in the electrified water (which is hard to do), the rake stops for half a second and starts running at you. It does 1/2000 every time he touches the water.
Falling off the Watch Tower (you need the stun stick). This is not as hard as the other ways but does less damage excluding the stun sticks damage. You get the rake to go up to the tower, and before he gets to you, face the right side of the power box and slightly jump off the left railing, the one that should be behind you. You can hit the rake, who is on your head, and he will fall. If he falls off, The Rake will deal 1/5000 (excluding the Stuns damage.)- The Supply Crate (EXTREMELY HARD). You can crush the rake with the supply box, if The Rake is on the ground stunned of course. Get the flare gun and shoot it where the crates usually land, (Between Shop, Power, and Rake Cave). Have one friend with night vision find the crate before it lands, wherever it is, have others place traps and get the rake to follow them. If the Rake trips directly under the supply crate, the rake will get crushed and will get flung across the map, fall damage might happen, 1/1000.
- The Safe House Door (Medium). Get another trap and place it between the door on the inside. Lock the door and have the rake come through the roof, you will need to open the door and run outside till he falls. If he is between the door, go back inside and close it, you and everyone else is safe until the power goes out. This like the Supply crate will hurt him, 1/1000.
- Fall Damage from the cave (With the help of all of your friends). Get all of your friends on the top of the cave and when the rake comes out at night, hit him with a stun stick and make him fall at the entrance of the cave where the ground gets a few feet lower. He will deal half the damage of Falling off the Watch Tower because its half the height.

Trivia[]
- You can't actually "kill" The Rake. The Rake rushes back to his cave as soon as he is at the low enough health. Although lore-wise, this does prove that The Rake CAN die, yet he fears death and retreats when impending doom strikes.
