These super-simple Keto Tuna Cakes are a great quick and easy meal. They are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
If your mixture is wet and sloppy, your tuna hasn’t been drained enough – just add an extra tablespoon of almond flour to help it stick together.
This low-carb tuna patties recipe makes four serves. One serving is two tuna cakes and has 2g net carbs.
Keto Tuna Cakes Ingredients
- 3 x 5-ounce tins of Tuna in Springwater
- ⅓ cup of Fresh Herbs. We used a mixture of chives and parsley
- ¼ cup of Almond Flour
- 2 tablespoons of Low Carb Mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons of Lemon Zest
- 1 teaspoon of Dried Minced Onion
- 2 large Eggs
- ½ teaspoon of Salt
- ¼ teaspoon of Pepper, ground
- ¼ cup of Olive Oil for frying
How to Make Keto Tuna Cakes
- Drain the tuna well. You should end up with about 280g/10 ounces of tuna.
- In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients except the oil. Mix well. The mixture will be moist but hold together when you make a ball.
- Place a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Drop quarter cup-sized dollops into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side. You should get eight tuna cakes.
- Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a dollop of Low Carb Mayonnaiseor Keto Garlic Aioli.

I made this after seeing how easy it really was and it tasted amazing!!! I use 2 5oz cans instead of 3 and still I had 3 huge patties for myself. I coated them with a little parmesan cheese right before shallow frying them and that helped to hold them together. If you’re costing then with cheese I’ll reduce the salt. It was so good thank you!! I’m going to try your other recipes now :))
