With a good song selection, multiplayer up to 6 players and a renewed graphic engine, Just Dance 2023 is still an excellent choice if you are looking for a musical party game.

Just Dance 2023 Edition can be a whole lot of fun with friends, but it has a host of issues that also hold it back.
Dec 6, 2022
Just Dance 2023 is a dichotomy. For all the new elements that are a fresh and welcome addition, there are just as many egregious omissions. Combine that with a second-rate song list along with Just Dance+ that is equally inadequate, and Just Dance 2023 Edition feels like dancing with the devil under the pale moonlight.

Whether you are using it for exercise or to laugh at family gatherings, Just Dance 2023 simply can't be beat. Accessible for beginners but requiring real skill if you want to top the leaderboards, Just Dance 2023 comes out swinging with a great group of new routines, delivered with a noticeable increase in production value. Though the World Dance Floor is sorely missed, the other improvements to the UI, multiplayer, and suggestion algorithms pull the franchise into the modern era.

Overall then, it's a decent outing for Just Dance 2023, a definite improvement on what's come before and a far less annoying version of the game than what we were served up in 2022. If you're not a fan of the series, there's still nothing here that's really gonna change your mind — it's still exactly the same dance mechanics at the core of proceedings — but, if it's your cup of tea, this is as good a time as we've had with this franchise thus far.

Learn to dance like no one is watching... or with friends... even if they are on the other side of the world.
Nov 29, 2022
Just Dance 2023 is a two-faced production: on one hand, it's hard to not appreciate what's becoming a new beginning for the series. On the other, removing so many features that were in the previous chapters will certainly disappoint some fans.

Thanks to the shift to a service model,Just Dance 2023 should be something that players get years of enjoyment out of.

Although dancing is still a pleasant activity that will really get you moving even at the beginning of the new year, this edition is rather contradictory.

Just Dance 2023 Edition is almost critic-proof at this point. You're either already on board and have been dancing away since it became available for download, or you have no interest and no reviews can sway your decision. With that said, the change to a service model has the potential to be exciting provided it can quickly get its Plus service on par with its old Unlimited service in terms of content. If Ubisoft can do that while keeping things like online play intact, then the series will be in good hands for quite some time.

Just Dance 2023 adds valuable visual detail to the series, and lets you dance with others online. It features a good range of music genres, although the game comes with only 40 default tracks. You will need to pay for the Just Dance+ subscription to access more routines.
Dec 6, 2022
On one hand, Just Dance 2023 Edition is a promising game due to a good music selection, incremented menus, new online possibilities and other features. On the other, it leaves something to be desired due to the absence of modes, obligatory internet connection, interface errors, and few songs in its subsctiption system. In sum, this means the launch may please the fans but it still has to improve other aspects to be as big as its franchise should, having gained tradition especially in Nintendo consoles.

If you had told me a few weeks ago I would have been reviewing Just Dance, I’d have told you that you’re off your rocker. Don’t get me wrong, I did very little dancing overall but I did a lot of watching my family prance around my living room like nutters. I like to throw some shapes now and again, but others in my household love this game a lot more than I do. I can see why to be fair, if you love to groove, there’s nothing better on the market.

A relaxed game won’t be found here. You’re signing up for a full workout from the moment you hit play. Kicking, dipping, and waving arms are a must, and if you want to mix up your aerobic exercise, Just Dance has got you sorted. I often get bored with my usual gym trips so being able to play a video game, be indoors, and get a workout in is perfect. It’s very easy to work up a sweat and my arms hurt by the end of the first track, “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and I couldn’t stop the feeling of pain in my muscles.

This edition is supposed to be a fresh new start to the longrunning series, but stumbles at the get-go. Longrunning features like the Dancefloor are missing as are most of the songs of the new Just Dance+, which only contains about 25% of the old Unlimited. The core mechanics of the dances is still there as are a some 40+ new songs to dance to, as well as a new menu that needs some getting used to but ultimately makes life easier. A not-so-fresh start then, but it might be a good set-up for the future.

So, while I enjoyed my experience playing Just Dance 2023 its value feels like it will vary greatly from person to person. While it has a sizable track list from a solid variety of artists, how much play you can get out of this game will depend greatly on your desire to chase high scores and unlock simple cosmetics, how many friends you have to clown around with, or if you are want to work it into your routine as a way to get some exercise in that provides a bit more fun than a morning jog.
As a seasoned enthusiast and expert in the realm of video games, particularly dance and rhythm-based titles, I can discern and analyze the nuances of various gaming experiences. My extensive knowledge spans across genres, and I've closely followed the trajectory of popular franchises, including Ubisoft's Just Dance series.
