No dead body was ever discovered. Kabuto couldn't find it. Even f*ckasaku and Pain thought he was dead when his heart stopped. Jiraiya's willpower was strong enough to bring him conscious for a few seconds to write the coded message on his back.
Everyone thought Obito was dead for years then turns out he's the Big Bad. I finished watching the episode again on Toonami from my DVR and thats why I brought this Topic up again. Obitos injuries were just as Bad as Jiraiya's. At the end of the episode we were teased with a Ghost hand of Jiraiya coming out and touching Naruto on the shoulder. For all we know that could have just been a Out of Body experience telling Naruto he was okay. We do know that Out of Body Experiences happen in Naruto. Plenty of examples seen in the anime and manga.

Yet Obito's name was engraved on the memory stone as a name of the hero who died during the war, which means all the people certainly held him for dead until it was proven otherwise. Madara himself stated that him surviving the collapse is almost a miracle.

Yea but like i said, the last we saw of him he was alive. His fate of death was implied, unlike Jiraiya who we saw die and sink.

But it's not. Madara simply made him think that. He has Zetsu who can keep him up to date about everything. They can also encapsulate people and move through the ground. I think that in hindsight, it's fairly clear that Madara directly saved him. (and made up the story to hide his true intentions, namely that he wanted to manipulate Obito)

Well, okay, I agree that Jiraya is more dead than Obito was before, but as far as I know Zetsu isn't able to share the properties of Mayfly with the other people, this technique works only for their kind.

Considering that that power is of Zetsu himself and that Zetsu can envelop and share their power (e.g. guruguru) it makes sense that the Zetsu can envelope a near-dead Obito and save him. Alternatively, Madara could've simply used Earth Release to save him. I don't think the practicalities matter: I think it's clear Madara saved Obito and he didn't just have a giant stroke of luck as if the stars themselves aligned. We've seen madara defy plenty of rules. This is the least crazy version of those events.

Because Jiraiya saw himself as a failure and didn't want to face Tsunade all bloody and maimed and he was busy writing the sequel to his novel. Plus even though Jiraiya should have returned to the Village if he was alive he never was in the village for most of the series up until the 1st Chuunin Exams. Even though the moment the 4th Hokage died he never once dropped by Narutos house in 12 years and introduced himself as his God Father even though Jiraiya he knew he had a Godson. If the Village thought he was dead he could move on and continue living in exile.

Keep in mind that Jiraiya was busy tracking Orochimaru and keeping an eye on him. He was on the road all the time because he was reporting on Orochimaru for Konoha.

Jiraiya isn't alive. But it's sad knowing that Jiraiya's body has been floating for all those years. Unless it has already deteriorated or eaten by sealife.

Jiraiya is totally dead its impossible the black chakra rods crushed his throat and they threw Jiraiya to the water and he sink down to water kabuto can't find him because he was sinked at the bottom of the ocean and they cant reanimate him because his body is at the floor of the ocean. they needed the body of Jiraiya to revive him and if you think kashin koji is jiraiya that is also wrong kashin koji is a clone of jiraiya maded by Amado to kill Isshiki Otsutsuki by jiraiya Dna information and he also died. His death was similar to jiraiya death.We all love jiraiya but he is now dead and even his clone is dead so now forget about that jiraiya is revived.

Personally I don't believe that Jiraiya is alive, but I find it strange that his body was " supposedly" never found. For 1 reason the main reason Kabuto didn't use the reanimation jutsu to revive him during the 4th great ninja war is because he didn't have Enough of Jiraiya's DNA and couldn't find the body. ( Which makes sense as we last saw him at the bottom of the ocean) but in Boruto Kara made an entire clone out of the man. If they never found his body how did they make a clone of him? I mean honestly Kabuto couldn't even make a reanimation without more DNA. So it is reasonable to conclude either someone did manage to "save" jiraiya or at the very least managed to find his body. Those are the only explanations for how Amado managed to clone him and make Koji Kashin.
What do you think?
