Established in 2010, Jacob's Well Natural Area is an 81-acre park located in Wimberley, Texas. The Jacob's Well spring, located on the property, is the headwaters of Cypress Creek which flows through Blue Hole Regional Park and feeds into the Blanco River.

The cave is also an attraction for open-water divers, some of whom are inexperienced with the specialized techniques and equipment used in cave diving, which has resulted in nine fatalities at this site between 1964 and 1984 (eight men and one woman).

Beyond its appearance and hallowed nature, however, it is also the site of numerous drownings, and there are those who believe the ghosts of those who have perished at this spot continue to haunt it.

There is no fee to park or enter the natural area. We offer hiking, birding, picnicking, geocaching, photography and viewing the spring are permitted within park hours, with no reservation needed. You can also visit our education center! Jacob's Well also offers guided tours.
