What are ISO standards for HR? ›

It requires organizations to determine and provide the resources needed to implement, maintain, and continually improve the QMS. This involves assessing current and future resource needs, the capabilities and constraints on existing internal resources, and determining resource needs from external sources.

ISO 9001 Certification for the HR Department provides the framework for effective processes and competent people to deliver an effective product or service. Human resources, the management of the people within an organization, is a vital part of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Published in May 2021 by ISO (International Organization of Standardization), the ISO 30415:2021 standard establishes guidelines for typical HR management processes that can be oriented towards valuing diversity: workforce planning, remuneration, recruitment, induction, learning and development, etc.

Clause 7.1. 1 General states that: The organization shall determine and provide the resources needed for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the quality management system.

Clause 6: Resource Management

This includes human resources, infrastructure and work environment. The requirements to provide adequate resources shall be determined by the organization, these include: implementing the QMS and maintaining its effectiveness and to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

As a requirement within ISO 13485, the management must ensure that adequate resources are available to perform continuous work by the organization. Providing resources can refer to personnel, infrastructure, consumables, equipment, etc.

Statutory Compliance: Your business must comply with government laws, or statutes, that regulate the workplace. Statutory compliance in HR includes areas like minimum wage, employment taxes, equal opportunity employment, insurance, and other federal and state mandates.
