Its services are divided into three plans:
- Stash Beginner ($1/month): You get commission-free access to trade stocks and ETFs. Additionally, you get a personal bank account with a debit card and access to budgeting and savings tools.
- Stash Growth ($3/month): On top of the features included in the Stash beginner account, you can open a traditional retirement account or Roth and have access to smart portfolios and get personalized financial advice.
- Stash+ ($9/month): In addition to all the previously mentioned features, you can open several individual investment accounts (for family members), and get access to life insurance, and other banking benefits.
You can start investing with $5 and get a recommended diversified portfolio after answering a few questions about your financial goals and risk preferences. Stash Smart Portfolios offer cryptocurrency exposure by investing in trusts managed by Grayscale.
Does Stash work outside the US?
Unfortunately, no. Stash is only available to users based in the US (as stated on their website):
“Stash is open to US Citizens and legal residents of the United States with an accompanying green card or certain valid visas.
We accept the following valid visa types: E1, E2, E3, F1, H1B, L1, O1, or TN1.
We cannot accommodate people with visas not mentioned in the above list.”
At the time of writing, there were no intentions for expansion outside the US.
