Not necessarily but ... it is better if you change it is cheaper to use NC. You can change IC in Nepal itself everyone gives a good change rates.

Nahi bhai... Not required.. Indian rupees are nicely accepted throughout Nepal... But for some local street markets or stalls... U should have some. Nepal money which can be converted in Nepal anytime.

In Nepal, all denominations below Rs. 200 (excluding coins) are used openly. If very few places they may insist on Nepalese rupees. but INR is widely acceptable.

No, not at all. Indian Rupee is well accepted currency at almost every places.100 INR = 160 Nepal Rupee.You can get the changes in all Hotels, Restaurants , Shops and other public places.At all places, the prices are quoted in Rupee , that is Nepal Rupee. You need to covert that in your Indian Rupee and Pay accordingly. So price seems to be higher, but it actually not so high. In packaged food items ( e.g., Britannia biscuits) MAP is mentioned in Nepal Rupee.You may change your INR in Hotel and spend the Nepal Rupee as per your choice.Then at the end of your visit, the balance amount get it converted to Indian Rupee.Is is so easy . Not to worry at all. No Bank is required for this .

Not required... in Nepal they accept indian currency @ INR 1 = NPR 1.6 and if you don’t want to get in to calculations just get it changed at hotel reception they will give you 1600 for 1000
