Applying as an Inbound International Student Exchange
The International Student Exchange (ISE) program at FIU is exclusively available to students from our partner institutions who have been nominated by their home universities. To view the complete list of our partner institutions, click the link below:
If your school is not listed, you are not eligible to participate in FIU’s ISE program at this time. However, you may consider applying as an international student to pursue your degree at FIU (https://admissions.fiu.edu/international/).
For students from our partner institutions, please contact the Office of International Relations, Mobility, or Education Abroad at your home university for application details. If you need assistance in finding their contact information, email us at [email protected], and we will help you.
Your home university likely requires you to apply for the exchange program. Upon acceptance, your university coordinator will provide instructions for applying to FIU's ISE program.
Once nominated, the FIU Office of Education Abroad (OEA) will review your eligibility to our inbound ISE program. After your nomination is accepted, we will send you detailed instructions to complete your ISE application. Application deadlines are as follows:
- Fall semester and Academic Year (Fall + Spring): March 15
- Spring semester: September 15
After the OEA accepts your ISE application, we will assist you in submitting all necessary documents, including immigration documents needed for you to obtain your visa. The OEA will also register you for classes and help you prepare for your arrival at FIU. It is crucial to follow all instructions from the OEA throughout the entire process!
