- [Instructor] The main goal of Azure Monitor is to collect data on your resources, analyze the data, visualize the information and even do some process based on the results. With Azure Monitor, you can monitor Azure resources, on-premises resources and of course, multi-cloud resources as well, such as virtual machines located in a different cloud provider. Some of the key takeaways of Azure Monitor for your AZ-900 exam are, you can send alerts to Azure Active Directory groups and users, and Azure Monitor can trigger alerts based on data in an Azure Log Analytics workspace.
