IBSAT 2023 Exam Analysis: Expected Cutoff, Section-wise Difficulty Level & Review (2024)

IBSAT 2023 Exam Analysis: ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education conducted the IBSAT 2023 exam on December 23 and 24, 2023. IBSAT was held in Computer Based Test mode for 2 hours, and the overall difficulty will be easy to moderate. The paper in the test will have multiple choice questions based on quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. After the conclusion of the IBSAT 2023 entrance test, we will provide a detailed IBSAT exam analysis that includes the questions asked from each section and the overall difficulty level of the IBSAT test.

IBSAT Exam Analysis 2023

As expected based on past exams, the difficulty level of the IBSAT exam 2023 will be easy to moderate. The duration of the IBSAT exam will be two hours and the test paper will have multiple choice questions from four sections, namely Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.

There will be 30 questions from 4 RC passages - each passage included 500 to 600 words. Most of the questions from each section will be easy and doable. The verbal ability section will be comparatively easy, except for a few tricky vocabulary questions. The Quant section asked questions mainly about topics such as arithmetic, geometry and logarithms. The data adequacy and Data Interpretation section had more questions based on PI graphs and line graphs.

• The overall difficulty level of the paper in IBSAT 2023 will be easy to moderate.
• There will be no limited time for each section, which means candidates will be allowed to use the total time allotted according to them.
• No marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

As per the IBSAT 2024 exam pattern, there will be 140 questions that have to be answered in 120 minutes (2 hours). Candidates will be free to move between the sections. Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marks for incorrect answers. Following are the number of questions asked in each section.

Expected IBSAT 2023 Verbal Ability Section Analysis

The Verbal Ability section had a total of 50 questions with a total weightage of 50 marks. In this section, questions were asked based on Meaning of idioms/ phrases, Jumbled Paragraphs, Synonyms, Antonyms, Word Analogy, Cloze Passages, etc.

Exam Analysis of IBSAT 2023: Reading Comprehension (Expected)

The Reading Comprehension section included a total of 4 passages. Each passage had an average word count of 500 to 600 words. The candidates with a good command of reading and understanding could have fared well in this section.

Expected IBSAT 2023 Analysis: Quantitative Ability

Questions in the Quantitative Ability (QA) section were asked from arithmetic, geometry, and analytical geometry. Most of the questions were based on distance and time, the ratio of proportion, work problems, heights, progressions, likelihood, percentages, etc. Candidates good in mental calculation could attempt all the questions within the stipulated time.

The Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation section was the most time-consuming section. Candidates with strong command over logical thinking can solve this section with ease. Questions was asked from Caselet, Pie + Bar, Numbers, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, etc.

What after IBSAT Result 2023?

The IBSAT 2023 selection process will commence after the announcement of the IBSAT result. As per released IBSAT selection process schedule, the same will be held from February 10 to 18. The participating institutes of IBSAT 2023 will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their cut-off. The cutoff can vary from institute to organization. The shortlisted candidates must appear in the IBSAT selection process 2023, which involves both GD and PI. The following factors will be included in the final merit list:

IBSAT Cut-Off 2023- All nine constituent institutes of ICFAI will announce their individual cut-offs for the shortlist of candidates for MBA and PGPM programs. After the declaration of the result of the IBSAT, the official IBSAT cut-off will be released. Here is the previous year's cut-off for the participating IBSAT institutes. However, candidates can check the previous cutoff to have an idea of expected cutoff for PGDM/MBA admission.
