I have made a payment with my debit card but can't see it in pending transactions, why isn't it appearing?

This could be an offline payment. Some retailers don’t process payments straight away so these will not appear in your pending transactions.

The payment will appear when the retailer processes it, usually within a couple of days. Examples of offline payments include payments made on flights, parking, toll roads and market stalls.

Cheques go through a separate payment clearing cycle where the amount will not appear in your pending transactions. The cheque payment will usually start showing in your transactions within 5 working days.
