You can use *120*3279# or our app to send cash. Sending cash between R40 - R1 000 will cost R8 when using our app or *120*3279#. Sending cash between R1010 - R3 000 using our app will cost R16.

2.12 "Secret Code" means the 4 (four) digit secret identification number that the Sender chooses to give him/her or his/her intended Recipient access to the Cash which is associated with a particular instruction.
For example, you could use a traditional bank wire transfer if you have the recipient's bank account information. Another option involves transferring funds between bank accounts through online banking. Peer-to-peer payment apps are popular tools for transferring money.
From the day it was sent. The funds return to the sender after 30 days. You will just need to ask that they provide you with an updated PIN should it expire.
Reversing a cash send isn't always possible. If the recipient has already claimed the money, the bank might not be able to get it back. There's a fee of R160 for trying to reverse the transaction, and this fee is non-refundable, even if the reversal fails.
If you can't download our app you can still make payments using *120*3279# (USSD) to Capitec clients with a verified cellphone number for only R1. You can also purchase airtime and electricity, even if you don't have airtime on your phone.

Capitec Cash Send lasts for a duration of 30 days. If the recipient does not collect the cash within this timeframe, the amount will be returned to your account. The funds are automatically sent back to the sender after 30 days from the day it was initially sent.
