What is a Balance Certificate?
A Balance Certificate is an official document issued by the bank stating how much money you have in your account on the date you requested it. It will also have your account number and IBAN. You will need this letter when applying for a visa, university education or at any other time when you need to prove that you have sufficient funds in your account.

Why do I need a Balance Certificate?
You require this letter when applying for a visa, for university admission, or at any other time when you need to prove you have sufficient funds in your account.
What happens to my request for a Balance Certificate if I don't have sufficient funds in my account for the charge?
You won't be able to proceed with your request with insufficient funds in your account, but you can always top up your account by transferring funds through Online Banking or Mobile Banking. This will beinstant if you're transferring money from another Emirates NBD account. You can also deposit cash into your account at your nearest Emirates NBD cash deposit machine.
