A hyperlink is a section of text or an image you can click on to take you to another web address. Hyperlinks are typically used to make a very long url look more professional and descriptive in your email and documents.
To Create a Hyperlink:
It might be best to select and COPY the address you want to use fora hyperlink before creating one, this makes the process simpler.
Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Use something descriptive forthe reader to know what he is clicking.
Press Ctrl+K
(You can also right-click the text or picture and clickLINKon the shortcut menu.)
In theInsert Hyperlinkbox, type or PASTE the addressin theAddressbox.
Optional:To customize the ScreenTip that appears when you rest the pointer over the hyperlink, clickScreenTipin the top-right corner of theInsert Hyperlinkdialog box and enter the text you want.
To Edita Hyperlink:
- Right-click the hyperlink or image and clickEdit Hyperlink.
- You can then change the address to the hyperlink or REMOVE it.
- If you would like to change the appearance of the hyperlink, highlight the text and use the font toolbar to modify the text as normal.
