How to Get a Real Estate License in Mississippi
The Mississippi Real Estate Commission requires all prospective agents to complete the following steps to become a licensed real estate agent. Read below to learn more about the licensing process.
1. Complete the Required 60 Hours of Pre-Licensing Education
Prospective real estate agents must complete a
60-hour Pre-Licensing course from an education provider that’s been approved by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission. There are several different Mississippi real estate colleges, many offer online classes as well as learning in-person coursework. 2. Pass the Final Exam for Your Course
Once you’ve completed the Pre-Licensing course, you must pass the course final exam. You must receive a score of at least 70% to pass, but the exam can be taken as many times as necessary.
3. Select a Sponsoring Broker
To get your real estate license in Mississippi, you must be sponsored by an active Mississippi real estate Broker.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive a letter of approval/eligibility from the Mississippi Real Estate Commission.
5. Pass the Mississippi Salesperson Real Estate Licensing Exam
