The VW Tiguan is an incredibly-popular SUV in South Africa, and the new version may continue this form thanks to a monthly instalment of under R10,000.
VW’s SUV is offered in three trim lines in South Africa – Tiguan, Life, and R-Line – and with two engine options.
These are a 1.4-litre petrol variant which produces 110kW and 250Nm, and a 2.0-litre TSI motor that generates 162kW and 350Nm.
Customers can then select between a six-speed or seven-speed automatic DSG transmission.
On the inside, VW has fitted a range of features across the range: including cruise control, an MIB3 Infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and touch-sensitive air-conditioner controls.

South African pricing for the new VW Tiguan starts at just over R500,000 for the “entry-level” Tiguan 1.4 TSI – and goes up to over R700,000 for the top-end Tiguan 2.0 TSI 4MOTION R-Line.
