The highest amount of views needed is InfinityCan't answer a unanswerable question - but this ebay and the world of online selling doesn't revolve around views, it revolves around other things all wrapped into one giant guessing game - price, product, description, demand, delivery, competition.
I have had items sell within 1-2 hrs of posting, then I have items that have sat for 6 months or more before sold. This is where Quantity plays a roll, the more product you have the more likely sales will happen and the less you'll be watching your views/watchers count causing you stress and voiding yourself from taking care of more important things - like building a business.
You can also ad dumb luck timing, pictures and buyer search terms to the list.
There's a lot of truly random factors at play. Some searches can result in an impression that's unrelated to the intended result and the item gets a view out of curiosity.
I kinda meant pictures with the description part... listing and all it's "parts"
There are many things that play a factor, beyond anything we can do/control etc... my point being was not to focus on things on like view counts (unless views are near none and the listing has been up awhile... then take concern, likely something with ebay or your account then). When I started selling, I listed 1 item, that item sold in 50 min of the item being up...I was stoked, when I started to add some more items I would do just as the OP mentions, watch views/watcher count hoping, thinking, stressing... Wow. How things have changed since then! Now I post listing and just move on, add another listing, package an order, send packages, receive packages and enter items into stock, do my books etc, drink a coffee, eat a pizza, have a chat with the wife... things sell when they sell, if they don't sell oh well, I have plenty more items awaiting to go up. I still look at views and watchers but I don't concern myself and focus on it. Sometimes I do a flash mark down sale - 24 hrs, holidays or just to make some quick money and move product out to make room for new coming in.
I think the best thing for sellers to do is really just know the product your selling, like you sell car magazines etc... I know nothing about vintage cars or magazines that deal with them... why would I attempt to sell something I have no knowledge about? Just because ebay terrapeak says it sells? Idk... but I always tell people when they ask me what and why I sell... say sell what you know and are knowledgeable with, are passionate about. Things like cell phone cables and such are abundant, if you can compete with 10,000 other sellers on them then great but likely not going to etch a nitch out for yourself on ebay. Never came on ebay expecting to sell tons or to get rich etc... well I am certainly not rich but I have sold and continue to sell a good amount with steady - healthy growth month to month... I'm a simple person, and I'm happy with those results.
The great truth is there isn't one
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...
...There is something about the rigid posture of a proper, authentic blind
As if extended arms reached to pass his blindness onto others.
