Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games' hit MMORPG, Lost Ark, has been out in North America for over two years now and is still one of Steam's most-played games. Lost Ark is known for its combat — more specifically, its challenge — and now a new activity in the way of the Thaemine Legion Raid is greeting the game with one of its most taxing challenges yet.
The Thaemine Legion Raid is the sixth Legion Raid to be added to Lost Ark, and while it features the last and strongest of the Legion Commanders, it will not be the last raid to ever be added to the game. Game Rant recently spoke with Amazon Games about Lost Ark's Thaemine Legion Raid and how it has been specifically designed to be the game's most challenging raid to date.

Lost Ark's Thaemine Legion Raid Is Its Most Challenging Raid Yet
Lost Ark's Legion Raids are its endgame PvE content and are therefore among its most difficult activities. Before the Thaemine Legion Raid, players could participate in up to five other Legion Raids, all of which feature a different Legion Commander for players to face. Each Legion Raid comes with its own challenges, but, according to Amazon Games during our interview with them, the Thaemine Legion Raid is especially difficult, as the team ensured it would be unlike the others in almost every way.
The dev team strived to differentiate the Thaemine Legion Raid from the existing Lost Ark Legion Raids, as Thaemine is the last Legion Commander. That means they didn’t reuse anything from previous raids when creating the Thaemine Legion Raid, and created new patterns just for Thaemine. Because there are many new patterns implemented for Thaemine Legion Raid, players’ physical and mental abilities will be put to the test. All in all, Thaemine is definitely the upgraded version of the existing commanders.
So, take every one of Lost Ark's Legion Commanders up to this point, make them much stronger, and Thaemine is the result. Other Legion Commanders, like Brelshaza and Kakul-Saydon, are notable for their difficulty, but it appears even they can't compare to Thaemine. This is all due to the fact that the Thaemine Legion Raid doesn't recycle patterns from previous Legion Raids, no matter how effective they might have been at subduing players before. In addition to the unfamiliarity that comes with the Thaemine fight, players are faced with a new system called "Clash." In regard to the Clash system, Amazon added:
On top of all this, a new combat system called “Clash” is added. Thaemine, especially being the last and the strongest Legion commander standing, will not fall from counters or staggers, and this system will allow players to procure dramatic damage deal timing with great action scenes.
Players who have already been able to experience the Thaemine Legion Raid have found themselves constantly falling prey to the unforgiving Clash system, as it seems no amount of experience with the game is enough to overcome it. Even so, the Lost Ark devs encourage players who may have a tough time initially with the Thaemine Legion Raid to stay in the game and keep practicing.
The best way to prepare is going to be by making sure you’re ready to jump in and learn with your team! While there are always going to be things you can do like preparing by reading guides or gearing up your character as much as possible that could help out, with Thaemine the best way to make progress is going to be by getting in-game and getting used to hit patterns and hits.
Lost Ark's Thaemine Legion Raid is clearly not only the most difficult Legion Raid in the game, but quite possibly one of the most difficult raids in the MMO genre. Committed players should stay on their toes with this one, as it will undoubtedly put them to the ultimate test.
