How Hard is Blogging?? (2024)

How Hard is Blogging?? (1)

A question that revolves in every person’s mind who is thinking to start their own Blog. Starting a blog may seem like a simple task, but as any seasoned blogger will tell you, the journey ahead is paved with challenges and obstacles that only the truly dedicated can overcome. I too had this question when i thought of starting my blog but i did it anyway with just one thought in my mind “How can i give up without trying”.

How Hard is Blogging?? (3)

Though i am not a seasoned blogger, but after reading a lot of articles of experienced bloggers and writing blogs for 2 months consistently now, i will try to answer this question and also highlight the different aspects of Blogging. As a beginner, you might find yourself filled with excitement and inspiration, eager to share your thoughts and ideas with the world. However, as you delve deeper into the world of blogging, you’ll soon realize that creating and maintaining a successful blog is not for the faint of heart. ( I am personally facing it).

From coming up with engaging content to managing your website’s technical aspects, promoting your blog on social media, and dealing with the ups and downs of building an audience, blogging is an art that requires persistence, creativity, and above all, hard work. But don’t let the challenges discourage you — the rewards of having a successful blog are immense, including personal growth, professional recognition, and the satisfaction of making a positive impact on others. So, buckle up and get ready for a wild ride — blogging is hard, but with the right mindset and approach, it’s also incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

First things first…

The one thing that i found in every seasoned blogger’s tips is to find your niche topic or topics at the beginning of your Blogging Journey. The topics that you want to write about and can research about without getting bored( I am also finding it). This will give you a clarity on what to write consistently and will make you better and better in it with time. Once you’ve found your niche, it’s important to stay focused and consistent with your content. One of the keys to success in blogging is to establish yourself as an expert in your field by consistently producing high-quality content that resonates with your target audience.

Should I own my blog site or write on Platforms like Medium first?

One other thing that i discovered was that a beginner should never own his/her own blog site at the beginning, rather than that one should start writing on already established Platforms like Medium, Hashnode, etc. I also wanted to own my blog site and start writing blogs there but after a lot of research and reading i understood that if you don’t have an already built audience who will visit your site. Writing Platforms gives exposure to new writers and here they can get noticed by people and build their audience. I experienced it myself when my blog got views and i got noticed.

Promoting your Blogs

To be honest i also haven’t cracked this trick of promoting Blogs via Social Media and others. But i would like to share a tip that one of the Bloggers i asked gave me. She said to me do read articles of other bloggers regularly and keep commenting your views on them, in this way you will get highlighted and most of the times those bloggers also visit and read your articles as well. This will result in a better reach for your blogs and generate more audience. I will write more about this part of Blogging once i gain enough knowledge about it and expand my blog to a wider audience.

Importance of staying honest to yourself

This is the part which i believe every person who wants to be a blogger should firmly believe before starting to Blog. All the top Bloggers i have seen who consistently write amazing articles are the people who write what they know and what they believe in. If you just want to earn money through blogging or gain audience by writing clickbait titles and non-value stories, i don’t think in the long term it will transform you into a great writer. I am a through and through tech geek and that is the sole reason i write about it, i want to provide great value to my readers from my articles.

Conclusion

In conclusion, blogging may seem daunting at first, but with the right mindset and approach, anyone can become a great blogger. By finding your niche, staying consistent, and experimenting with different types of content, you can create a blog that resonates with your readers and establishes you as an authority in your field. Remember, the journey of blogging is a marathon, not a sprint. So, stay focused, stay motivated, and keep pushing forward — the rewards of having a successful blog are well worth the effort.
