The authenticator app is locked on my android phone
I have no biometric data installed on the phone because it fails, so this is not an option.
How do I unlock the app?
Can I get a code to unlock the app?
Or how do I uninstall the app?
Please explain clearly in plain English and not in tech speak
Microsoft Authenticator

- Use your device passcode or PIN to unlock your phone.
- Open the authenticator app.
- Enter your secret key or QR code manually to add the account to the authenticator app.
- If you have a backup code, you can use it to access your account instead of using the authenticator app.
- If you need help with these options, you may need to contact the app or service provider for assistance in accessing your account.
It's important to remember that the purpose of an authenticator app is to provide an additional layer of security to your accounts. If you are having difficulty accessing your authenticator app, it may be a sign that your security measures are working as intended.

2023-09-27T13:59:37.8+00:00 That doesn't work. Because after entering the passcode for the Microsoft Authenticator app I get the following message:
Authenticator locked
Unlock
However pressing Unlock does nothing.

2023-03-20T23:04:16.1166667+00:00 May need to setup an alternate method (pin / pattern) on the phone. I have the pattern security as a backup so when the thumb print fails it reverts to pattern. Don't uninstall the authenticator without first turning off two factor at the service provider end as that will prove to be fatal.
