Completing missions is the fastest way to get coins. You can also get gems and coins by finding the daily chests and, of course, by taking part in the tournaments or quests. You can also buy them in the shop.

Experience points, or XP as used in the game, is a resource obtained by killing enemies, and is automatically used towards leveling up the dragon of the current run. It is the only way to increase a dragon's level. If a dragon reaches its maximum level, any XP gained will not go towards other dragons.

To level up your Dragon, you need Dragon Treats and Dragon Orbs. Dragon Orbs are used to upgrade your Dragon's evolution. Dragon Treats are required in order to upgrade your Dragon's level. Click on the Dragon's area in your City to access the feeding menu.

Rather than level up by eating prey, Legendary dragons level up by paying Coins, or Gems at levels 6, 17 and 28, to upgrade health, boost, and speed. The info page will also display special abilities in additional to the standard information about the XXL size group.

As you gain experience in Dragon Story, your player level will eventually increase. Experience points can be earned by achieving the following: Hatching dragon eggs. Purchasing a new habitat or decoration.
