The Headless Horseman's headwas a possessed object in TV Show,Sleepy Hollow. The skull belonged to theHeadless Horseman. After Ichabod Crane chopped off the Horseman's Head, the head was then buried in the "tomb" of Katrina Crane. Later, the Horseman tried to get his head back without any cost.
The head was invulnerable: When Ichabod and Abbie tried to destroy the skull, they used every method they could think of but, they were all useless. Then, they used the skull as a bait in order to lure the Horseman into their trap. Frank Irving later saved the skull into the bank. In the Second Season, Ichabod and Abbie got the skull back from the bank, in order to awake the Kindred, the "Frankenstein's Monster" that was made by Benjamin Franklin for confronting Death.
With the destruction of the Kindred, the skull of the Horseman remained in one piece. Ichabod was later able to locate the head and use it to summon the Horseman from Pandora's Box. As the Horseman attempted to use the skull's power to kill Pandora, it was swallowed by the box and the box eventually exploded with Pandora's Death.
The skull's condition currently remained unknown.

- In 1999 film, Sleepy Hollow, the head ofthe Headless Horsemanwas the only thing that could brake the deal between the Horseman andLady Van Tassel. After Ichabod returned the skull to the Horseman, the Horseman was then freed from Lady Van Tassel's control and dragged her back to Hell with him.
