Do I get a tax receipt for the donation?
No, you do not get a tax receipt, as the donation is being made by RBC Future Launch. However, you do get to choose one of eight charities that can receive the donation.
Do I give the $75 cash bonus that I get from opening the bank account to charity?
No, you can keep the $75 that is deposited into your new bank account if you meet the qualifying criteria.
RBC Future Launch will donate an additional $75 to an eligible charity listed on our donation page. You can choose which charity will receive the additional $75 from RBC Future Launch.
Can we choose any charity to give the $75 to?
You will be able to choose one of eight charities that can receive the $75 donation from RBC Future Launch. The eligible charities are:

- Tree Canada
- Black Health Alliance
- Earth Rangers Environmental Education and Action
- Easter Seals Canada
- International Development Relief Foundation (IDRF)
- National Gallery of Canada, Re-Creation Program

I don’t see the charity that I want to donate to.
We have a variety of charities that cover causes ranging from environmental issues to mental health and wellness. The full list of charities participating in this program is listed below:

To make a donation, open the welcome email from RBC regarding your new account. You’ll find a unique link that you can use to select the charity listed above and make a donation from RBC Future Launch.
Can the $75 donation be split between charities?
Unfortunately we cannot split the $75 donation between charities. You must select one charity from our list of participating charities to receive the $75 donation.
When do I get the donation money?
You will receive $75 deposited into your new bank account upon opening an eligible bank account and completing the qualifying criteria. You will not get an additional $75 in cash, but instead will get a unique single-use link that will allow you to select one of eight pre-selected RBC charities that can be found on our donation page to make a $75 donation from RBC Future Launch.
How will I make the donation?
You will get an email from RBC once you have opened your new bank account and met the eligibility criteria. This email contains a unique link that will allow you to select a charity to receive the $75 donation from RBC Future Launch.
The unique donation link can only be used once before it expires on June 15, 2023.
Please note: if you lose the link, we cannot send you a new one until the end of the program/offer. We will sending out a final reminder on June 6, 2023 to all new clients who did not use their donation link.
I opened my account and met the criteria. When will I get to donate to charity?
The first donation link will be sent out December 6, 2022 and every Tuesday after that. All donation links will expire on June 15, 2023.
I did not get to make my donation. How can I donate now?
Once you open your new RBC account, you’ll receive an email containing a unique donation link. That link can be used to send $75 from RBC Future Launch to a charity of your choice. The email containing this donation link will be sent to the email address used to set up your new bank account.
I lost the donation link/the donation link did not work.
Unfortunately, we cannot generate a new donation link. However, on June 6, 2023, we will send out a final reminder email to all new clients who did not use their donation link. You’ll have a second chance to donate at this time.
Can I reuse the donation link if I change my mind about my charity selection?
No, each link is unique and can only be used once. Once a charity has been selected to receive the donation, it cannot be changed.
Does the donation link expire?
Yes, your donation link will expire on June 15, 2023.
