Get the 32 Best New Toys of 2024 Before They Sell out (2025)

Call your inner child forth because it is time to talk about the best new toys of 2024! We didn't think the crop of 2023 toys could be beat, but we stand corrected. Plushies, potions, ponies, and pixies — 2024 has it all. We took a look at all the newly released toys from top brands like Fisher-Price, Mattel, and Melissa & Doug to find the most exciting ones. We made sure to include some of the most anticipated toys for toddlers, the best toys for little kids, and the hottest toys for big kids and teens.

Ahead, you'll find our favorite toys from the biggest names like Hot Wheels and Barbie, along with new toys from your kid's favorite characters and shows, like Frozen and Bluey. (And yes, of course we're spotlighting the new Ms. Rachel toy.) If your kid has been looking forward to Wicked, there are only about a million toys pegged to the movie, so we chose our favorite. We also looked into the best learning toys to help toddlers identify colors and numbers. We have math toys for little kids, STEM toys for grade-schoolers, and even some hands-on toys that will encourage big kids and teens to step away from the screens.

Winnie the Pooh and his pals have been brought to life via a new collaboration between Disney and GUND. Eeyore, Tigger, and Kanga (plus Roo!) are all safe to give to babies but will delight kids at any age with their cozy, cuddly hugs. Ages 0+

The official Ms. Rachel merch has arrived in stores! The YouTube sensation has released several new toys this year including a collection of wooden blocks and a popular soft learning box, but the big-ticket item is undoubtedly the Speak & Sing Doll. It comes with four songs and 16 phrases, all of which toddlers will likely recognize from the show. Ages 6 months-3 years

The latest release from MEGA BLOKS is a triple whammy: kids can play with the toys, listen the the music, and it turns into a projector to lull them to sleep at night. It's perfect for toddlers and preschoolers who are in the midst of building new bedtime routines. Ages 1+

Bath time doesn't have to be a struggle! Playmobil's popular Aqua line has extended to include Moana's Boat and Ariel's Shell Shower. Both are designed to be played with in the water, so kids can take them in the bath or the pool. Ages 1-4

Learning Resources is a go-to for toys that entertain and educate, so it's not surprising that their latest release is a winner for toddlers. The Growing Greenhouse Playset teaches color and number recognition and would make a perfect pairing with the brand's Peekaboo Learning Barnyard. Ages 18 months+

It's not easy to reinvent the wheel, but that's kind of what Goliath did this year with Jelly Blox. These squishy blocks are filled with different substances — small beads, kinetic sand, etc. — and they actually connect with each other to build stuff. This editor's kids (ages 2 and 5) constantly fight over them. Ages 2+

MAGNA-TILES are an MVP in preschools and playrooms because of their lightweight, magnetic design. The company has tons of special collections — Space! Construction! — in addition to the classic set, but this castle-themed set has been a huge winner in our household because of its whimsical, sparkly tiles. Ages 3+

No toy guide would be complete without a Bluey inclusion! The 3-in-1 Transforming Plane Playset opens up to reveal a beachy resort, a nod to the "Relax" episode in season three. It comes with Bluey and Bingo figurines and because it folds up, it's ideal to take on roadtrips to grandma and grandpa's house. Ages 3+

Numberblocks isn't just a delightful British show that helps kids learn to count; it's also a delightful British toy brand that helps kids learn to count! It was a tight race between the Blockzee Balance Activity Set and the Sheep Farm MathLink Cubes Activity Set for the best new math toy, but the balancing scale is so fun (and effective) for kids who learn visually. Ages 3+

If your kid is constantly trying to touch your turntable (noooo), give them their own record player! The new release from Fisher-Price comes with five records in real sleeves. They can choose from country music, hip-hop, classics, pop tunes, or mindful music. Pro tip: That last one is great for bedtime. Ages 3+

The kids (and parents) have spoken: the Story Dream Machine from Little Tikes is amazing. A new entry in the ever-increasing category of bedtime toys, the Story Dream Machine comes with little books that are turned into projections on a wall or ceiling. Kids can control the pages themselves, which is always a plus. Ages 3+

Kids who are too young to ride the original Power Pony will love the brand's new push-riding toy. It comes with a removable handle, and light-up wheels, and is available in three color schemes: purple Crystal (pictured), pink Grace, and brown Champ. Ages 3+

The big news in the Barbie world this year is the addition miniature versions of Barbie and company. Mini BarbieLand toys include all the things your kids love about Barbie — just smaller. The DreamCamper set is highly rated and would make a perfect stocking stuffer. Ages 4+

If only we had these creepy crawly lizards in the '90s! The Wall Crawler from Hex Bots scales walls to spook siblings and parents alike. There's a simple remote control that even young kids can operate. Ages 4+

If you have a little girl obsessed with Magic Mixies (raises hand), this is the hot toy to get this year. The Pixie Supremes Magic Mirror reveals a full-size doll after a series of signature Magic Mixies-style steps. You can get Luna, Skyler, or the elusive Shimmer doll. Ages 5+

Educational Insights always comes in clutch with crafts that won't result in paint all over the walls. This year, they came out with a Jumbo Gem Kit and a Pom Pom Kit, but our favorite is the Tufting Kit, which provides easy-to-follow instructions and results in some very share-worthy art. Ages 5+
