The Excel Stockhistory function allows you to pull up historical data, including a given cryptocurrency's open, high, low, volume, and close prices.
In order to use this function, you need to type in the ticker name of your selected currency followed by a period "." and then the date range.
For example, if you want to pull up Bitcoin historical close price data from January 1st, 2021, to January 10th, 2021, you would type =STOCKHISTORY("BTCUSD", DATE(2023,01,01), DATE(2023,01,10),0,1,0,1)
As you can see, this will give you a price chart of the currency over the chosen time period.
Wisesheets Historical Price Function
If you have the Wisesheets add-on installed on Excel, you can also use the WISEPRICE function to pull up historical price data for a given cryptocurrency. For example, if you want to get Bitcoin's prices from January 1st, 2021, to January 10th, 2021, you would type =WISEPRICE("BTCUSD", "close",, "01/01/2021", "01/10/2021")
