Gale, not Gale Windstrider, is the current Academy Keeper in the world of Smart-Alecky.

Appearance[]
He's an Ivory Fairy with piercing amber eyes. Like all Ivory Fairies, he bares resemblance to a Fey (not to be confused with Fae) version of an Ivory Truckle. He has an odd birthmark on his right arm.
Personality[]
He's polite to most, but actually quite defiant and a trouble-maker. Most often know him for years without realizing how many tricks he has up his sleeve.
He also suffers from amnesia, causing him to seem caught in the past at moments.
As of the later events of Smart-Alecky, he grows more serious and mysterious at discovering his parents were still alive... and who they were.
Abilities[]
Inherited[]
Fae/Fey Stepping: An ability that fairies and faeries have, triggered by instinct. It causes them to teleport a short distance away, bringing them to safety, or in some cases, behind the opponent for an advantage.
Miscellaneous[]
Keeper's Crest: Gained when becoming apprenticed to the current keeper. It greatly increases one's Mana, allowing them to cast spells that'll normally cause them to faint. However, the ability is lost upon retiring or quitting.
Mind Reading: He does not trust others well and often mindreads. Normally, he finds himself right about his suspicions.
Dream Walking: Allows the user to visit another's dreams, only works when both the user and target are asleep. He often uses this ability to speak with Harmony, The Ancient.
Curses[]
Darkness' Tongue: An ability Dark Fairies have, allowing them to communicate with the beasts of the island, and even tame or lure them. It's necessary for having control over a Titan without mind illusions, but ironically, he doesn't normally use with Tita.
Shadow's Blessing: Allows the user to survive conditions shadow magic thrives in, creates an immunity towards corruption, the ability to become a shadow, and adaptive towards the dark. It often causes them to have a shifted sleep cycle, napping in the day but active starting at dusk.
Keeper's Curse: A curse that supposedly prevents him from touching a horse-like mount, such as the Mysts (Mystile, Mystyyk, etc).
Backstory[]
Main article: Fairies Don't Cry~
As an orphan, he had a rough start, but Florian kept him company and encouraged him.
Eventually being cast out, he reflected on what life was like on the island, which later caused the events of Smart-Alecky. Florian regretted it and took back what he said to Gale at the risk of being caught by the council. Now, after the return of the Puppet Master, he's stuck with the difficult task of assisting balancing the magic of the island - via the pedestals.
