Answer: To update Samsung DeX, enter Samsung DeX mode, open Settings, select Samsung DeX, then About Samsung DeX, and finally click on Update.

You can update Samsung DeX as follows: Go to Settings > Samsung DeX > About Samsung DeX and select the Update button. ※ To configure Samsung DeX, go to the Settings on your smartphone or look for the Settings icon via the Quick Settings (▲) button at the bottom right of the Samsung DeX home screen.

The Samsung DeX Station enables you to turn your Samsung Galaxy Note8 and Galaxy S8 / S8+ into a true desktop PC experience.

You can also swipe up from your Home screen and head to Settings > Connected devices > Samsung DeX, and activate the feature from here.

Samsung DeX Mode allows your device to cast a PC-like experience to the big screen with the same apps you use on your phone every day.

Clearing the cache for the problematic apps may help resolve some issues. Go to Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear Cache. Make sure that your device's firmware and all relevant apps, including DeX-related apps, are updated to the latest versions.

Note: There are some settings that cannot be changed in Samsung DeX; they will be grayed out. You must access Samsung DeX via your phone's Settings to adjust DeX related settings. To change any unavailable settings, first disconnect your device from DeX, and then navigate back to the Settings menu.
