Clear the app's cache & data
You can usually clear an app’s cache and data with your phone’s Settings app. Settings can vary by phone. For more info, get help from your device manufacturer.
Clear cache: Deletes temporary data. Some apps may be slow the next time you open them.
Clearstorage: Permanently deletes all app data. Try to delete the data within the app first.
Your device can automatically archive apps you don’t use often to free up space for new apps. When this setting is on, the apps you don’t use often will be removed, but your personal data on the app will be saved. The app’s icon will remain on your device. You'll be able to download the app again, as long as it's available on Google Play.

Because so much space is taken up by apps running in the background and unnecessary, cached temporary files, periodically clearing your Android memory will help keep your device running smoothly. Here's how to clean your Android phone memory: Go to Settings > Device care > Memory > Clean now.
Clear the cache of your Android phone: You can clear cached data from a single app by going to Settings > Apps and tapping on the individual app. In the app info, tap Storage > Clear cache. Some Android phones have the option of clearing cached data from all apps; go to Settings > Storage and tap Cached data.
Cached data from apps can accumulate over time. Head to Settings > Storage > Cached data, and clear the cache. This action frees up space without affecting your app settings.
Photos and videos can be some of the most space-hogging items on your phone. Luckily, if you've got an Android phone, you can upload your photos to Google Photos — and can therefore take them off your phone. First, check to make sure you are backing up your photos to your Google account. Open Google's Photos app.
In the list of items to clean, select Windows Update Cleanup and also Previous Windows Installation, probably the largest items that consumed the space.
Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache. Note: The only way to clear the cache on every app at the same time would be to perform a factory reset on your phone.
If you're seeing an "Insufficient storage available" message on your Android, chances are that you've used up most of your device's available memory. To fix this, you'll need to make some space by deleting apps and/or media; you can also add external storage, such as a Micro SD card, to your phone.
Every little bit of storage space matters if you're getting close to the capacity. Remember that deleting messages won't be a one-time fix as future text messages will cause that space to fill right back up over time.
