In vertical writing, characters are displayed and read from top-to-bottom, with successive columns displayed vertically from right-to-left. There are two ways to format vertical text on a layout. The format you choose usually depends on the page orientation of the layout.
Vertical text sets are organized hierarchically, with texts ranging in complexity and difficulty within the same topic or theme (Schoenbach et al., 2012). The primary aim of vertical text sets is to scaffold students' learning.
By holding down the Alt key and dragging the mouse cursor, users can select columns. Once the desired columns have been selected, users can then copy and paste the text into another part of the document or into another document altogether.
Most vertical signs and banners run text from bottom to top. Logically, the reason for this is that most of the western world reads from left to right; we naturally tilt our heads towards the first letter of the text that would appear on the left. If we rotate our heads left, that's where we would start reading.
This means that the beginning of the word or phrase is at the bottom of the page and the rest of the text goes upward. Stacked: A stacked text box is the final vertical position, and it's when each letter is on top of the other to create a vertical word.
To orient the text vertically, click on the "Arrange" tab.Click on the "Rotate" option and select the angle at which you want to rotate the text.Click on "Save and Close" to insert the vertical text into your document.
