Your financial institution isn't listed
If you don’t find your bank:
Tap Search and enter the name of your bank.
Check that the name of the bank you entered is an exact match to the bank’s official name.
If your bank still isn’t listed:
Plaid isn’t integrated with your financial institution.
Plaid can’t reliably connect to your financial institution right now. Some financial institutions may not let you connect your accounts to third-party apps.
You can link your account manually.
Your bank decides whether they want to integrate with Plaid. You can contact your bank to request that they set up Plaid.
Your connection failed
The login and password associated with your account may have changed. Verify your account login and password on your financial institution’s website. Then, go back into Google Pay and reconnect your account.
Plaid or your financial institution might have technical difficulties. Try again in a few hours.
Sometimes a financial institution will make changes that impact your ability to access your financial information. If you encounter a consistent issue, such as a slow or lost connection, reach out to your financial institution to let them know.
Google Pay doesn’t recognize your bank’s credentials
When you link your account to Plaid, use your financial institution’s credentials and not your Google Account credentials.
Your account settings are incompatible
To link your account through Plaid, update your bank settings.
If you have your account set up to require a one-time passcode each time you log in, you’ll need to change the settings to only require a one-time passcode for new devices.

Here are some possible reasons why you couldn't add your bank to your PayPal account: The account must be with a U.S. bank. The name on the bank account must match the name on the PayPal account. You can't link a bank account to more than 1 PayPal account at a time.

You can use your deposit account and routing number, to connect to your external bank account via micro deposits. Each financial institution's process is different. Please visit their website to understand how to process micro deposits and connect your account.
The bank account is already active on a PayPal account that has a limitation or a balance below zero. The bank isn't compatible for use with PayPal. This may include most online-only or prepaid bank accounts. The deposit amounts that you entered to confirm your bank account were not accepted by our system.
You can link your bank instantly by entering your bank login details. If the instant option isn't available, enter your bank account details manually and click Agree and Link.
If you are unable to connect your bank account to Cash App, there is most likely a problem with your bank account. I recommend double-checking that your bank account does not have a negative balance and that there are no restrictions that prevent it from working with digital payment apps.

This error typically results when Multi-Factor/2-Factor Authentication (i.e. MFA or 2FA) settings on your financial account are incompatible with what Plaid is able to support—including but not limited to—MFA settings that require a One-Time Passcode at each login.
