You can apply for a physical card in the following steps:
- Log in to the INDIE app
- Click on the debit card icon
- Select Card preferences” > “Service Request” > “Apply for a physical card”
The agent will call you before attempting the delivery. If you miss your delivery, the agent will attempt to deliver your card to your registered address 2 more times before returning the card to the bank.

If you want to block the Debit Card via INDIE mobile app, the procedure is:
- Log in to the INDIE app
- Click on the debit card icon
- Select "Card preferences” > “Service Request”
- Under Service Request menu, there are 3 options to block your card:
Block temporarily – you will not be able to use the card and change any controls till the card is temporarily blocked. You can choose to unblock your card whenever you want.
You can temporarily block your card under “Service Request” > “Block/ Unblock Temporarily”Block Permanently – this blocks card permanently. You cannot unblock your card once its permanently blocked.
You can permanently block your card under “Service Request” > “Block Permanently” - Block and replace card – this blocks card permanently and lets you apply for a new physical card
You can block your card under “Service Request” > “Block and Replace”.
If you are a Star or Superstar customer per the loyalty tiers, you will be charged a new card issuance fee for the new debit card. There is no card issuance fee for Megastar customers.
You can set domestic and international debit card limits in the following steps:
- Log in to the INDIE app
- Click on the debit card icon
- Select Card preferences” > “Card controls”
On the app, check your card controls under Card Settings. Ensure that your card controls are on. In case it still doesn’t work, reach us at the INDIE call contact centre
You can set/ reset your PIN under “Card preferences” > “Service Request” > “Set/ Reset PIN”
Benefits are associated with the Loyalty tier. You can see the benefits for your tier on the INDIE mobile app under “Rewards” > “Know Your Tier”
A virtual debit card is available only on the INDIE app and can be used only for online transactions. It has its unique card number, expiration date, and CVV.
It is available to the customer by default post on-boarding. To access your virtual debit card, go to the debit card section on the home page
If required, your virtual debit card also be blocked. Please follow the steps listed above to block a debit card.
A one-time-use virtual disposable card is a type of payment card that can be used for a single transaction. It is created by you on the INDIE app and can be used to make purchases online. Once the card has been used, it cannot be used again. Virtual disposable cards provide you with an added layer of security for online transactions by preventing fraudsters from accessing sensitive card information. Since the card is only valid for a single use or 24 hours, it gets disabled automatically.
You can generate a virtual one-time disposable card by going to the debit card section > Virtual Disposable Card > Add new Card and authenticate using MPIN.
If required, your one-time use disposable debit card also be blocked. Please follow the steps listed above for blocking a debit card.
Super OTP can be used when the customer is not receiving an OTP. It can be generated in the App itself, is usable only once and is valid for only 20 seconds only.
Follow these steps on the INDIE mobile app:
- Go to debit card section on the home page and scroll to the bottom
- Toggle the button before initiating the transaction
- Click on Generate Super OTP button
- Online card preferences must be enabled
- Toggle to be turned back if Super OTP is not required
Super PIN can be used in case the customer has forgotten the PIN or does not trust the POS machine/ ATM at which the customer is transacting. A Super PIN can be generated in the App itself, is valid for only 20 seconds and is usable only once.
Follow these steps on the INDIE mobile app:
- Go to debit card section on the home page and scroll to the bottom
- Toggle the button before initiating the transaction at an ATM, merchant outlet
- Click on Generate Super PIN button. The PIN is valid for 20 seconds
- Toggle to be turned back if Super PIN is not required
The daily limit for generating disposable debit cards is 5 and the yearly limit is 25 disposable debit cards.
