Strategy:[]
This Gym is much easier than Alice's. Mel's Pokémon are slower, but bulkier and the Inverse Battle rule means that their Normal Type attacks will hit every Pokémon for Neutral or Super-Effective Damage. You'll largely be looking to overwhelm his team offensively with Ghost-Type attacks and Speed.
Bewear: Typically starts off with Swords Dance. This battle becomes much easier if you picked up a Grubbin from Route 9 and evolved it into a Vikavolt. This allows you to set up Sticky Webs during the first turn which allows most Pokémon to out speed the rest of his team. Otherwise, you can use Encore and set up yourself. Samurott with Aqua Jet, Swords Dance and Megahorn comes close to sweeping through his entire team if Encore turns last long enough.
Lopunny: Just like with Alice's Pinsir, Prankster Will-O-Wisp is incredibly effective at shutting this Pokémon down. Intimidate does not work due to changes making it not effect Pokémon with Scrappy as an ability. Alternatively, an Imposter Ditto from Route 10 has a good chance of defeating it one on one, or putting it into range of something like Lucario's Extremespeed, or an Aqua Jet.
